Today, Wednesday 11th January 2023, sees the long-awaited opening of entries for the 50th edition of the Rolex Fastnet Race, which starts on Saturday, 22nd July 2023. As always, we expect extremely strong demand and with limited spaces available it is essential that all competitors interested in participating in the 2023 race are ready with pre-registered accounts when applications for entry open at 1200hrs GMT tomorrow.
The change for this year, is in December we launched a new race entry and race management system called sailracehq.com and all entries for 2023 season, including the Rolex Fastnet Race registrations will be going through the new sailracehq.com race system portal. Key points to remember before applications for entries open for the Rolex Fastnet Race;
- RORC members are given 1 priority entry into the race until Wednesday, 25th January. Applications after the 25th January will be added to the official waiting list.
- Sign up for a sailracehq.com account before 1200hrs GMT tomorrow.
- Be sure to add the boat you are racing to your account after registering so you can submit an application for entry for the Rolex Fastnet Race.
- Successful applicants into the race will be notified on Friday, 27th January.
- All unsuccessful applicants will be placed on the official waiting list. RORC aims to offer everyone a place should a place become available and often those continuing campaigns and fulfilling their qualification mileage and pre-race requirements are offered a place in the weeks before the race.
