Wolfgang Weber, Beauftragter International Affairs im NRV, hat NRV Mitglied Johann Tolkmitt im Herbst diesen Jahres die Möglichkeit vermittelt, beim RSYS als Segeltrainer zu arbeiten, um seinen Aufenthalt in Australien zumindest teilweise zu finanzieren. "Offenbar", so Wolle Weber, "macht er dort eine gute Figur und vertritt den NRV würdig!". Im Newsletter des RSYS heißt es:

Our Guest Coach Johann Tolkmitt is from the Norddeutscher Regatta Verein (NRV) in Hamburg Germany. He grew up sailing on his family’s Dragon, then learned to race in Optis before moving into 420s. He has established a youth J/70 team and hopes to campaign in the youth and open leagues in Germany. But in the meantime, he is spending a summer coaching at RSYS, and doing as much sailing as possible in one design keelboats. Johann was along for the Opti squad’s most recent adventure at the Summer Optimist Regatta at GRSC. As usual, strong winds and spring tides made for challenging sailing. Johann started each day with his catchphrase “Good Morning Super sailors!” and impressed us all with his knowledge and attention to detail.
