If sporting successes are the results of persistant determination, then the NRV is very persistant and determined: Much effort is invested in fostering talent, youth activities being one of the club´s priorities. The club spirit is reflected in mutual respect and friendship. As a result, active competitors, boat class enthusiasts and all the girls and boys crewing in regattas, as well as people in the sailing associations, profit from the dedicated commitment of NRV honorary helpers.

Some historic trophies, cups and salvers are held in safe keeping at the Hamburg Townhall silver vaults maintained by the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, while many other impressive examples fill the glass-fronted cabinets at the NRV clubhouse.
